About The Role

At Balfour Beatty, we’re building more than infrastructure – we’re delivering projects that make a lasting difference. As part of our continued growth, we’re looking for an experienced Senior Document Controller to join our Regional Build team working on the West Slope project.

This is an exciting opportunity to become a key member of the project team, supporting the efficient management, control and distribution of project information across a complex construction environment.

As a Document Controller, you’ll play an important role in ensuring that project documentation is accurately managed, maintained and accessible to the right people at the right time.

Working closely with the project, design, commercial and delivery teams, you’ll help maintain robust document control processes and ensure information is managed in line with Balfour Beatty and client requirements.

What you'll be doing

As a Senior Document Controller You Will Be

  • Managing the electronic document management system and maintaining accurate project records.
  • Registering, uploading, distributing and tracking project documentation.
  • Ensuring documents are correctly version-controlled and issued to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Maintaining document registers and monitoring the status of drawings, technical documents and project information.
  • Supporting the management of drawings, specifications, reports, correspondence and other project documentation.
  • Working closely with design and engineering teams to ensure information is issued and received in a timely manner.

Who we're looking for

You Will Have The Following

  • Previous experience as a Document Controller, preferably within the construction or infrastructure sector.
  • Experience working with electronic document management systems.
  • A good understanding of document control processes, workflows and revision control.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • A high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
  • The confidence to work with a wide range of stakeholders across a busy project environment.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
