Walker & Sloan are working with an outstanding specialist contractor to recruit an experienced Senior Document Controller to join one of the UK's most exciting mission-critical construction projects.

Our client has built an exceptional reputation for delivering technically complex projects across the Data Centre, Defence and Energy sectors. With over 40 years of specialist expertise, they continue to deliver landmark developments where collaboration, innovation and technical excellence are central to every project.

This opportunity will see you joining a flagship hyperscale data centre development in Acton, taking ownership of Document Control across a major live project while providing operational support and oversight across a wider portfolio of projects throughout the South of England.

The Role

As Senior Document Controller, you'll lead the day-to-day operation of Document Control across your assigned projects, ensuring information is managed accurately, efficiently and in line with project and company standards.

Reporting to the Technical Manager – Information Management, you'll play a key role throughout the project lifecycle, from mobilisation and Common Data Environment (CDE) setup through design, construction, project closeout and final handover.

Working closely with project teams, consultants, subcontractors and clients, you'll help maintain the highest standards of information management while supporting continuous improvement across the wider business.

About You

You'll have significant experience working within construction Document Control and be confident managing Common Data Environments across large, technically complex projects.

You'll enjoy working in a collaborative environment, supporting project teams while mentoring junior Document Controllers and promoting best practice across multiple projects.

Experience with platforms such as Asite, Autodesk Construction Cloud and SharePoint would be highly advantageous, alongside a strong understanding of document workflows, project information management and quality assurance. Previous experience within data centres, mission-critical environments or an ISO 19650 environment would be a distinct advantage.

A relevant qualification in Document Control, Information Management or Construction would be beneficial, although equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
