Senior Document Controller
Senior Document Controller – EGL2 Peterhead (Construction Industry)

We’re BAM, a leading construction business in Europe, and we’re recruiting a ** Senior Document Controller ** to join our ** EGL2 Peterhead ** team. In this role, you’ll play a crucial part in delivering major civil engineering projects that will support renewable energy and critical infrastructure developments across Scotland.
Your Team

Responsibilities
- Support & Mentor site document controllers with their daily tasks, ensuring efficiency and consistency
- Collaborate with the Document Control Manager and discipline leads to review and refine existing processes, improving system-wide workflows
- Maintain both paper-based and computerised document filing systems and records, ensuring all distributed information is logged accurately
- Review and distribute documents while adhering to departmental procedures, ensuring responses are submitted within agreed timelines and shared with the correct teams
- Conduct periodic audits of Common Data Environment (CDE) folders and uploaded information, identifying and correcting discrepancies as necessary
- Support the production and coordination of project handover packages for smooth client transitions
- Oversee archiving processes to keep information organised and accessible long-term
- Train and provide support to all CDE users, reinforcing strict adherence to system processes and standards
- Update and standardise document control procedures in collaboration with other EGL2 Document Controllers, ensuring smooth alignment across teams
- Foster strong working relationships with JV partner and client Document Controllers to drive collaborative efficiency
- Stay informed on all company policies, industry legislation, and guidance applicable to document control and technical fields

What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a Self-starting, analytical, and motivated individual with:
- Proven experience in document control, ideally within construction, highways, rail, or energy sectors (either in a senior or progressionally focused role)
- Familiarity with Common Data Environments (CDE), including tools such as:
- Autodesk Forma
- BIM360
- Aconex
- ViewPoint for Projects
- Experience in project handover stages, ensuring seamless transitions
- Understanding of ISO 19650 and its application in construction documentation
- Technical competence in IT systems, including:
- Microsoft Word
- Excel
- Outlook
