The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Document Controller to join the project delivery team on a major hyperscale Data Centre development.
The successful candidate will take ownership of document control and information management processes across the project lifecycle, working closely with Design, Construction, Engineering, QA/QC and Commissioning teams, as well as subcontractors, consultants and client representatives.
This position requires strong Data Centre or mission-critical construction experience, alongside proven hands-on expertise with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and Aconex.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Document Control function across the Data Centre project.
- Manage project documentation throughout design, construction, commissioning, handover and close-out.
- Administer and maintain project information within Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and Aconex.
- Establish and maintain document control procedures, workflows, registers, permissions and distribution matrices.
- Ensure all drawings, technical submissions, specifications, RFIs, method statements and project records are correctly controlled and distributed.
- Manage document numbering, revision control, transmittals, approvals and review workflows.
- Coordinate documentation across Electrical, Mechanical, CSA, QA/QC and Commissioning disciplines.
- Work closely with subcontractors and vendors to ensure documentation is submitted accurately and in accordance with project requirements.
- Monitor outstanding documentation and proactively follow up with relevant stakeholders to prevent delays.
- Maintain accurate and auditable project records in accordance with company and client requirements.
- Support the management of commissioning documentation, O&M manuals, test records, turnover packages and final handover documentation.
- Provide training and guidance to project teams and subcontractors on ACC, Aconex and project Document Control procedures.
- Support and mentor junior Document Controllers where required.
- Produce regular reporting on document status, outstanding actions and project information management performance.

- 5+ years' Document Control / Information Management experience, ideally within large-scale construction or engineering environments.
- Previous experience working on Data Centre
- Proven experience operating at Senior or Lead Document Controller level.
- Strong hands-on proficiency with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and Aconex is essential.
- Experience with additional platforms such as BIM 360, Procore, Asite, SharePoint or similar EDMS/CDE platforms would be beneficial.
- Strong understanding of document workflows, technical submissions, revision control, approvals and audit trails.
- Experience supporting projects through construction, commissioning and final handover.
- Knowledge of ISO 19650 information management principles would be highly advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage large volumes of technical documentation.
- Confident communicator capable of working with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
