The Role
You will deliver complex treatment planning across MR Linac and CT based linacs, acting as a senior clinical resource within the dosimetry team and contributing to adaptive radiotherapy pathways and national planning network activity.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver and oversee treatment planning across MR Linac and CT adaptive platforms.
- Support adaptive planning workflows and complex cases.
- Act as a senior liaison with clinical oncologists and radiographers.
- Contribute to training, quality assurance and service development.
Training & Development Commitment (Minimum Requirement)
All Senior Dosimetrists appointed to Leeds will complete a structured advanced platform training programme. This will require regular national travel and extended periods away from home during the onboarding phase. This will be planned in advance.

- Onboarding duration: typically 6 months.
- Off site training: block based placements at GenesisCare MR Linac and CT adaptive centres (typically 1–2 weeks per month).
- Travel expectation: regular national travel and overnight stays during training blocks.
- Vendor training: RayStation planning system, Elekta Unity MR Linac workflows, Elekta EVO CT adaptive workflows.
- Structured planning competency training: supervised development in contouring, adaptive planning, plan review and GenesisCare planning governance.
Completion of competency assessments and formal clinical sign off is required prior to independent practice on adaptive platforms.
What You’ll Have
- Eligibility for HCPC / AHCS (or equivalent) registration.
- Degree in radiography, dosimetry, clinical technology or related field.
- Strong experience in complex radiotherapy planning.
- Experience with MR based and/or adaptive workflows (desirable).
