Contract Snr.NET Developer | £1000-£1100/day (INSIDE IR35) | LNG Trading | London | Hybrid

I am currently recruiting for a Contract Senior.NET Developer to join a leading European energy trading business, working on a key LNG trading platform in London.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced developer who enjoys working closely with the business and wants direct exposure to the front office, traders, and originators.

The role will involve taking a senior position within the development team, working directly with stakeholders to understand requirements, shape solutions, and deliver high-quality software in a fast-moving trading environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work directly with traders and originators to understand and translate business requirements
  • Design, develop, and deliver high-quality software solutions
  • Provide technical leadership and contribute to design and architectural decisions
  • Take ownership across the development lifecycle
  • Support and mentor other developers
  • Balance technical quality with practical and commercial delivery

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

LNG market knowledge is particularly valuable and would be a significant differentiator. Broader commodities or financial trading experience would also be highly relevant.

This role would suit a senior engineer who combines strong technical capability, commercial awareness, and excellent communication skills, and who is comfortable operating directly with the business rather than working solely from predefined specifications.
