Location: Preferable London/anywhere in UK (Hybrid)

We are seeking an experienced Senior.NET Backend Developer with strong expertise in .NET Core/.NET Framework, C#, and SQL Server.

The ideal candidate will design, develop, and optimize high-performance backend services, APIs, and database solutions.

You will work closely with architects, frontend teams, and QA to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable applications in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop backend services and APIs using C# and .NET Core/.NET Framework.
  • Build and optimize database schemas, stored procedures, queries, and functions in SQL Server.
  • Develop robust and scalable RESTful APIs for internal and external integrations.
  • Ensure application performance, security, and reliability through best coding practices.
  • Collaborate with frontend, QA, and DevOps teams to support end-to-end feature delivery.
  • Perform code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to system design decisions.
  • Optimize application performance, including query tuning and API responsiveness.
  • Integrate third-party services and external systems as required.
  • Maintain technical documentation and support deployment activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in backend development with C#/.NET.
  • Strong experience in .NET Core, Web API, and microservices.
  • Expertise in SQL Server, database design, indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and SOLID principles.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Entity Framework, Dapper, or other ORMs.
  • Familiarity with Azure, Docker, or containerized deployments.
  • Knowledge of message brokers (RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc.).
