Overview:

As a Software Engineer, you will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop high-quality software solutions that meet customer needs and business objectives. You will be involved in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to implementation, testing, and deployment. You will have the opportunity to work within a modern Azure cloud environment, evolving our technical approaches forward with each project, and refining all areas of the software development lifecycle to deliver professional services in an environment cultivating growth and creativity.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Agile Project Manager, Testers, and other team members to understand requirements and translate them into technical designs and user stories.
  • Develop clean, efficient, and maintainable code in accordance with coding standards and best practices.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Work closely with Test team members to ensure thorough testing of developed features and timely resolution of defects.
  • Produce unit and contract tests to ensure software quality and test coverage.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and methodologies, minimizing system and user impact.
  • Develop infrastructure-as-code (IAC) to version control supporting infrastructure for professional software solutions as part of the software development lifecycle.
  • Keep up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends and propose innovative solutions to technical challenges.
  • Support and maintain existing software applications, including troubleshooting and debugging issues as needed.
  • Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and priorities.
  • Ensure systems and software are well documented and ensure documentation is both maintained and up to date.

Essential skills:

  • Proficiency in C#, and familiarity with related technologies.
  • Proficiency in Terraform and IAC development/deployment practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Azure Cloud and cloud computing architecture, such as Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Grid, Azure Storage Account, Azure Function Apps and more.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
  • Clear communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment, within the relevant context at various levels with development, testers, product owners and business stakeholders.
  • Relevant experience in event and message driven architectures
  • Solid understanding of software development principles and methodologies, with experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Experience with software development practices such as SOLID and DDD
  • Initiative-taking with a self-improving mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
  • Autonomous and capable of determining how to best support the team with the ongoing development.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a challenging environment.
  • Proficiency in version control systems such as Git.
  • Proficiency with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
  • Proficiency in automated software testing principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in standard CI/CD practices
  • Solid understanding of HTTP and RESTful services
