Senior Drainage Engineer: London
GBP40,000 - GBP50,000
Are you an experienced Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer looking for a new opportunity in London?
We are working with a well-established and growing consultancy that is looking to strengthen its flood risk and drainage team with the appointment of a Senior Engineer.
This is a varied role where you will work across a range of development and infrastructure projects, providing flood risk and drainage advice from early feasibility through to detailed design.
The Role Will Involve
- Preparing Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies
- Surface water and flood risk modelling
- Hydraulic modelling using software such as MicroDrainage, Flood Modeller, or TUFLOW
- Designing surface water drainage and SuDS schemes
- Supporting planning applications and liaising with Lead Local Flood Authorities, Environment Agency, and other stakeholders
- Producing technical reports and drawings
- Working closely with engineers and other disciplines across the wider business
- Supporting junior members of the team and helping to develop their technical skills

About You
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related subject
- Strong experience within flood risk and drainage consultancy
- Experience delivering Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies
- Good understanding of UK flood risk, drainage, and SuDS requirements
- Experience with relevant hydraulic modelling and drainage design software
- Confident communicating with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues
- Ideally Chartered or working towards Chartership
