The role
Sit across chartering, agents, masters, and technical managers to keep every fixture running to plan
- Build voyage orders, track port and regulatory restrictions, and keep the Master briefed throughout
- Handle freight and hire invoicing, chase disputes, and hand over to claims when needed
- Feed chartering what they need on live fixtures: intakes, cleaning plans, ETAs
- Make calls under pressure and know when to push a decision up the chain

What they're looking for
- Genuine dry bulk operations experience, ideally 5 years or more, gained at a shipowner, operator, or major trading house (strong candidates with a bit less will still get a look)
- Comfortable working without someone checking in on routine calls
- Sharp commercial judgement and a track record of sorting disputes before they escalate
- Confident in Excel and IMOS or an equivalent system
- Clear written and spoken English
- Organised, methodical, and happy to put in the hours a commercial desk sometimes demands

Office-based in London, five days a week
Some evening and weekend availability comes with the territory, same as any commercial shipping seat.
Impressive company, strong fleet, genuine room to grow... Ideally people will already be based in London but our client will consider arranging visa requirements for a great Vessel Operator interested in relocating
