Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Dynamics 365 Developer with strong Microsoft cloud experience and the capability to provide technical leadership across complex enterprise delivery programmes.

This role is ideal for a highly capable individual who combines deep hands-on Dynamics 365 CE development expertise with a proven track record of designing, building and supporting scalable business-critical solutions on the Microsoft technology stack. The successful candidate will be expected to lead technical delivery, mentor developers, engage directly with stakeholders, and help shape architecture and engineering best practices.

You will work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, Engineering Leads and Delivery Managers to deliver high-quality Dynamics, Power Platform and Azure-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Development

  • Design, develop and maintain enterprise-scale Dynamics 365 CE solutions.
  • Develop custom functionality using:
    • C#
    • .NET
    • Plug-ins
    • Custom Workflow Activities
    • JavaScript / TypeScript
    • Web API
    • PCF Controls
  • Extend and customise Model-Driven Apps to support complex business processes.
  • Design and implement robust integrations with internal and third-party systems.
  • Develop Power Platform solutions including:
    • Model-Driven Apps
    • Power Pages
    • Power Automate
    • Custom Pages
    • Canvas Apps where appropriate.
    • Power Platform Connectors

Azure Integration and Cloud Engineering

  • Design and implement cloud-native integration solutions using Azure services.
  • Develop:
    • Azure Functions
    • Logic Apps
    • Service Bus
    • API Management
    • Azure Storage
    • Azure SQL
  • Event-based integration patterns.
  • Build scalable, supportable and secure integration architectures.
  • Work closely with cloud engineering teams to ensure alignment with Azure best practices.

Technical Leadership

  • Provide technical leadership for Dynamics and Power Platform delivery teams.
  • Lead design workshops and technical discovery sessions.
  • Review solution designs and code produced by other developers.
  • Establish and promote engineering standards and development best practices.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level developers.
  • Support estimation, planning and technical governance activities.
  • Act as a senior technical point of contact for delivery teams and stakeholders.

DevOps and Delivery

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of development and deployment processes.
  • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
  • Promote automated testing and modern ALM practices.
  • Support agile delivery methodologies including Scrum and Kanban.
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement and technical design activities.

This is a senior engineering role suited to individuals similar to those who have successfully delivered large-scale Dynamics 365, Power Platform and Azure solutions across regulated industries.
