Job Description

We’re looking for a Senior Dynamics Platform Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you’ll apply your software engineering expertise to build new features, resolve bugs, and tackle technical debt. You’ll also take a strategic view of our team’s processes and tooling, helping us continuously improve how we work and deliver high-quality, valuable software to our customers.

As the technical lead for the platform, you’ll play a key role in shaping our engineering direction and championing innovative thinking across the team.

What you'll be doing:

  • Building clean, maintainable features and resolving end-to-end issues using thoughtful approaches to ensure effective delivery of high-quality outcomes for our customers
  • Ensuring solutions are fit for purpose, aligned with engineering best practices, and provide meaningful business value while adhering to quality standards
  • Contributing to the strategy for managing technical debt to maintain secure, resilient, and reliable systems across Legal & General
  • Defining and implementing test strategies that prioritize security, usability, and accessibility to enhance the overall customer experience
  • Conducting and participating in code reviews with a focus on functional and non-functional requirements, including performance, resiliency, maintainability, and security
  • Promoting a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging inspection and adaptation to enhance team effectiveness, productivity, and wellbeing
  • Fostering a collaborative and respectful team environment by mentoring and supporting less experienced engineers in their professional development
  • Researching emerging technologies and identifying opportunities to integrate them into our platforms, while sharing insights to inspire innovation across the team

Who we're looking for:

  • Demonstrated advanced proficiency in at least two of the following platforms is essential: Dynamics 365 Customer Service, Dynamics 365 Sales, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Logic Apps, Azure Data Factory
  • Proven ability to design and implement large-scale, well-optimized, and maintainable software features
  • Strong track record of analyzing, debugging, and resolving highly complex technical issues.
  • Experience in conducting and contributing to effective code reviews, offering constructive and actionable feedback
  • Ability to evaluate all relevant factors and make informed decisions when determining technical approaches
  • A sound grasp of software testing principles and practices is essential
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern release strategies is required
  • Practical experience working within Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban
