At BEAUTY BAY, we’re all about sharing our beauty obsession with the world. We source hard-to-find brands and products you can’t find elsewhere, bringing our customers the best, first. Something we couldn’t do without our dynamic, inspiring, diverse and dedicated team.
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Trading Manager to drive the commercial performance of BEAUTY BAY across our UK and international ecommerce business.
Sitting at the heart of our Commercial function, you’ll be responsible for turning our commercial, product and marketing plans into a compelling online trading proposition that delivers against sales, conversion and margin targets.
You’ll have a strong understanding of what makes customers shop and will use data, customer behaviour and market insight to identify opportunities, make decisions at pace and continually improve performance.
This is a hands-on senior role, supported initially by one direct report and working closely with Buying, Merchandising, Marketing, Digital/Product and Finance.
Key Responsibilities
Trading & Commercial Performance
- Own day-to-day ecommerce trading performance across BEAUTY BAY's UK and international markets, with accountability for delivering agreed sales, conversion and margin targets.
- Develop and execute the ecommerce trading plan, translating wider commercial objectives into clear weekly and seasonal priorities.
- Monitor performance against targets, quickly identifying risks and opportunities and implementing appropriate trading actions.
- Lead regular trading reviews, providing clear insight into performance, actions and opportunities.
- Work closely with Finance and Merchandising to support forecasting, sales phasing and commercial planning.
- Maintain a strong understanding of customer behaviour, competitor activity and market trends to identify opportunities to accelerate growth and market share.
Trading Calendar & Onsite Execution
- Own the ecommerce trading calendar, ensuring key launches, campaigns, promotions, events and seasonal moments are effectively planned and executed onsite.
- Work closely with Buying, Merchandising and Marketing to ensure the right products, brands and offers are prioritised at the right time.
- Ensure campaigns, NPD and promotional activity are brought to life effectively across the BEAUTY BAY website and app.
- React quickly to trading performance, customer demand, stock position, emerging trends and competitor activity, adjusting onsite priorities accordingly.
- Ensure the onsite proposition remains relevant, inspiring and commercially effective across key markets.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
