Senior Early Careers Development Specialist

This is a London-based hybrid role, with the flexibility to work virtually from home and an expectation of 2-3 days per week in our London office.

What the Day Will Look Like
As a Senior Early Careers Development Specialist, you'll play a key role in delivering apprentice, graduate and internship programmes across the UK and EMEA. Working closely with colleagues across Early Careers, Talent Acquisition, HR and the business, you'll help create an engaging and inclusive learning experience while supporting continuous programme improvement.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Supporting delivery of graduate, apprentice and internship development programmes and key learning events across the UK and EMEA
- Coordinating in-person and virtual inductions, learning sessions, development activities, colleague engagement initiatives and in-person Early Careers events across the UK
- Lead elements of our UK apprenticeship development and professional studies activity including managing study onboarding, monitor learner progress, engagement and programme quality
- Provide practical guidance to colleagues, managers and stakeholders on apprenticeships, qualifications and funded learning pathways
- Manage relationships with learning providers, professional bodies and business sponsors
- Create engaging programme communications, newsletters and learning materials. Managing central mailbox, programme teams chats, and answering ongoing general queries
- Manage programme operations, including attendance, reporting, invoices, purchase orders and supplier payments
- Build trusted relationships across Early Careers, HR, Talent Acquisition and the wider business
- Support Talent Acquisition colleagues with pre-joining engagement, onboarding activity and events for incoming Early Careers cohorts
- Producing programme insights, reporting and recommendations to improve learner outcomes using feedback survey and internal reporting outcomes
- Identify opportunities to improve processes through Workday, Microsoft 365, automation and the responsible use of AI
- Support regional and global Early Careers projects, programme expansion and organisational change

Skills and Experience That Will Lead to Success
Essential
- Experience supporting Early Careers, apprenticeship, graduate, learning or talent development programmes
- Strong coordination and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders
- Knowledge of UK apprenticeships, professional studies or funded learning pathways
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to influence a range of audiences
- Experience using data, reporting and feedback to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement
- Strong organisational skills, with experience managing programme and project administration
- Passion for colleague development, inclusion and creating an outstanding Early Careers experience

Desirable
- Experience managing or supporting Apprenticeship Levy activity
- CIPD qualification or ongoing professional development in HR, learning or talent
- Experience with Workday, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365
- Experience working across regional or global teams
- Experience using AI or automation to improve learning, talent or programme processes
About the Team
You'll join a high-performing, award-winning Early Careers team that develops around 200-250 apprentices, interns, placement students and graduates each year across the UK.
Working alongside the Early Careers UK Programme Manager, Early Careers Lead – EMEA, and APAC, the UK EArly Careers Talent Acquisition team, and the Global Early Careers Development Team, you'll have the opportunity to influence curriculum, development initiatives, and broader early careers strategy at Aon, while building relationships across Aon's business and HR functions.
The role also offers exposure to Aon's Social Impact programmes, supporting colleague volunteering, charitable giving initiatives and partnerships that help make a positive difference in local communities.
