Senior Level 3 Early Years & Childcare Practitioner | Outdoor Learning and Play in Ullswater, Lake District | Full-time
Offering monthly tips, free paddleboard hire, discounted meals, and free team parking, all on the shores of Ullswater with one unforgettable view.
We operate a team bus operating daily between Penrith train station and our hotel, making this role suitable for non-drivers.

What you'll be doing
Every day is different in our Kids' Zone. You'll create engaging experiences that encourage children to explore, be curious, and have fun, both indoors and outdoors. You'll:
- Plan and deliver engaging play and learning activities for children aged 6 months to 12 years
- Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Support children's safety, wellbeing, and development
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and Ofsted requirements
- Complete essential daily records and handovers
- Work a rota including some weekends, evenings, and bank holidays
- Have the opportunity to provide additional paid babysitting for hotel guests, if desired

What we're looking for
You'll have:
- A recognised Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification or equivalent that meets Ofsted requirements (you can check your qualifications at https://www.gov.uk/guidance/check-an-early-years-qualification)
- Experience working in an early years or childcare setting
- A good understanding of safeguarding, child development, health, and safety
- Excellent communication skills
- A calm, positive, and flexible approach
- A genuine passion for helping children learn through play
Hospitality experience isn't essential in this role - we're more interested in your childcare experience, personality, and enthusiasm. An enhanced DBS check will be completed as part of the employment process.
