Senior Ecologist
Contract: Until April 2027
Location: York, Leeds, Newcastle or Doncaster
Rate: £385 per day Umbrella
The Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Ecologist to support a major infrastructure programme.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and confident ecologist who can hit the ground running, work across a broad range of topics and engage effectively with both senior management and frontline teams.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Provide expert ecological advice across a range of projects and activities.
- Work confidently with senior stakeholders and frontline teams.
- Influence and collaborate effectively across multiple disciplines.
- Adapt to changing priorities and a varied workload.
- Deliver high-quality work with minimal supervision.
- Build effective working relationships across different teams and functions.
- Support the delivery of ecological requirements across a major infrastructure environment.

About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- An experienced and confident ecologist.
- Comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
- Able to influence and collaborate across different disciplines.
- Adaptable and able to manage a broad range of ecological topics.
- Delivery-focused, proactive and able to hit the ground running.
- Experienced working within complex infrastructure or similarly regulated environments.
