As a Senior E-commerce Implementation Consultant, you will own the successful delivery of e-commerce solutions from discovery and design through configuration, integration, testing, deployment, and adoption. You will work closely with customers to transform their digital commerce capabilities, utilising modern e-commerce platforms, automation technologies, APIs, and AI-driven solutions to improve customer experience, operational efficiency, and revenue growth.
You will act as a trusted advisor to customers, helping them navigate digital transformation initiatives while collaborating with Professional Services, Product, Development, Data & Integration, and Customer Success teams. You will also contribute to the development of Klipboard’s e-commerce consulting capability by mentoring colleagues, creating best practices, and driving innovation through automation and AI.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead e-commerce implementation projects from discovery through to go-live, ensuring scope, timeline, quality, and commercial objectives are achieved.
- Conduct workshops to understand customer business processes, digital commerce strategies, customer journeys, and operational requirements.
- Configure and implement e-commerce platforms and associated integrations with ERP, CRM, payment gateways, shipping providers, marketplaces, and third-party applications.
- Design and deliver automation solutions that streamline customer onboarding, product management, order processing, fulfilment workflows, and customer communications.
- Apply AI technologies and emerging digital capabilities to improve operational efficiency, customer engagement, personalisation, content generation, analytics, and support processes.
- Advise customers on e-commerce best practices, digital transformation opportunities, and scalable commerce architectures.
- Collaborate with Data & Integration teams to define and support API, middleware, ETL, and system integration requirements.
- Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests, providing clear communication to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Support testing activities, including functional testing, user acceptance testing, data validation, and go-live readiness assessments.
- Deliver customer training and knowledge transfer sessions to drive adoption and long-term success.
- Act as a subject matter expert for e-commerce consulting and implementation methodologies.
- Create and maintain implementation documentation, templates, solution designs, and enablement materials.
- Mentor consultants and share knowledge across the Professional Services organisation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that drive efficiency, repeatability, automation, and scalability across project delivery.

Skills, Knowledge And Experience
- Proven experience delivering end-to-end e-commerce implementations.
- Demonstrable experience with B2B and/or B2C commerce platforms.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce business processes, including catalogue management, pricing, promotions, checkout, payment processing, fulfilment, and customer experience.
- Experience delivering projects involving ERP, CRM, and third-party system integrations.
- Strong knowledge of APIs, integration concepts, and data exchange methodologies.
- Experience using automation platforms and workflow technologies such as Power Automate, Zapier, Make, Azure Logic Apps, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of AI technologies and practical applications within e-commerce, customer service, content generation, automation, analytics, and digital transformation.
- Excellent customer-facing consultancy and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to facilitate workshops, gather requirements, and translate business needs into solution designs.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
Nice to have
- Experience with modern e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento/Adobe Commerce, WooCommerce, Shopware, CommerceTools, or similar solutions.
- Experience in SaaS, ERP, retail, wholesale distribution, rental, manufacturing, or field service industries.
- Experience implementing AI-powered commerce tools and customer experience solutions.
- Knowledge of SEO, digital marketing, customer analytics, and conversion optimisation.
- Understanding of modern data architectures and customer data platforms.
- Experience mentoring consultants and leading project teams.
- Familiarity with agile delivery methodologies and project management frameworks.

- You are driving innovation in delivery approaches, reducing implementation effort and improving customer time-to-value.
