Senior Educational Psychologist

Soulbury EP B Scale 7 – 10*, plus Outer London Allowance, plus up to 3 SPA points (previously awarded SPAs will be honoured)

Senior Educational Psychologist – Job Profile

This is an exciting time to be joining Havering Educational Psychology Service (EPS), a thriving, fully-staffed EP team at a time where service delivery is being planned in line with SEND Reforms and the ‘Experts at Hand’ approach, with the focus being capacity building in our schools and settings.

We are currently recruiting a Senior Educational Psychologist to provide strategic leadership and specialist psychological expertise in relation to Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA). The post holder will lead the development of evidence-informed practice across the Local Authority, working collaboratively with schools, families and wider children's services to improve attendance, engagement, wellbeing and educational outcomes. They will contribute to the development of inclusive systems and graduated approaches that promote early identification, prevention and intervention for children and young people experiencing EBSA. This will include the development of the Assistant Educational Psychologist role and line management of a team of Assistant EPs, initially 6.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
