Are you ready to inspire young minds and make a real difference in a thriving school community? Ravensthorpe CE (VC) Junior School is looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Senior Educational Teaching Assistant (Cover Supervisor) to join our vibrant team.
We are a four-form entry school at the heart of an ethnically and religiously diverse community and we are incredibly proud of what our pupils achieve during their time with us, as shown in our excellent SATs results. In our most recent Ofsted inspection (February 2023), we were graded Good, with inspectors noting: "Pupils are safe and happy at this friendly, welcoming school. Their conduct is exemplary in lessons and around school."
As a highly inclusive church school, spirituality underpins everything we do – our values, our culture and our commitment to nurturing every child and staff member to reach their full potential. The Headteacher and Governors are seeking to appoint an inspiring and dedicated Cover Supervisor who will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. The successful candidate will have high expectations, a positive outlook and a genuine passion for helping children succeed. You will be required to provide high-quality classroom cover on an ad hoc basis, responding flexibly to the needs of the school while helping to maintain a positive and engaging learning environment.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
