Working within a team of expert Senior Defence Trainers, you'll coach and mentor trainers at all stages of their careers, promote innovative teaching practices, and drive improvements that enhance training quality across the organisation. You'll play a key role in developing future training capability, supporting educational projects and helping us deliver excellence in everything we do.

Senior Educator

Job Description:

  • 🕒 Full-time role, 37.5 hours a week on a term time only basis
  • 📍 HMNB Clyde, Helensburgh
  • 🔐 Due to the nature of this role, you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Delivering a teacher training and assessment programme incorporating the QCF Level 3 Award in Education and Training and Care of Trainees (safeguarding and prevent)
  • Conducting Teaching observations in support of Ofsted requirements and Teacher development
  • Delivering an education and training Continuing Professional Development programme to Defence Trainers (both military and civilian)
  • Supporting the delivery of a Coaching and Mentoring service including the undertaking of coaching and mentoring support for staff and trainee development
  • Providing support and expertise for educational projects to meet future training needs

What we’re looking for:

  • Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (or equivalent)
  • Experience of training delivery in the adult learning sector is highly beneficial
  • A passion for delivering training and developing people
  • Experience within digital learning methods
  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • Good IT skills using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be able to obtain UK SC clearance
