The Opportunity
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our growing MEP (Building Services) team based in our Cardiff office.

The Cardiff MEP team is a vibrant and exciting group of over 30 highly skilled engineers, technicians, and building specialists, working at the forefront of the industry. We’re delivering two of the largest healthcare schemes in Wales, alongside some of the country’s most significant education projects and culturally important developments. You’ll also have the opportunity to work in a truly multidisciplinary environment, collaborating with some of the best engineers across a wide range of disciplines. The Opportunity
You’ll be joining a highly motivated and collaborative team of engineers who are passionate about delivering sustainable, innovative solutions and who genuinely enjoy what they do.
- You will lead the day-to-day technical delivery of electrical design services on multi-disciplinary building projects.
- You will oversee the production of high-quality design deliverables, including specifications, drawings, and schedules.
- You will support the commercial success of your projects through timely invoicing, WIP management, and workload/resource planning.
- You will mentor junior team members, including graduates and apprentices, and play a key role in their career development.

About You
You will be an experienced Electrical Engineer / Senior Electrical Engineer with a passion for delivering sustainable solutions for your clients and will have the following:
- Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer / Senior Electrical Engineer in the UK, ideally with a track record of delivering both electrical and M&E solutions across varied building sectors.
- Supported, developed, or mentored junior colleagues.
- Experienced with BIM processes and tools including Revit, Dialux & Elec OM / Amtech.
- A collaborative mindset and experience working closely with architects and multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications
- A relevant qualification (HNC, HND, Bachelors, or Masters) in Electrical Engineering or building services.
- Chartered status or working towards it.
