Hilson Moran is an interdisciplinary engineering and design consultancy delivering innovative solutions across major UK and international projects. We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join us on a 12‑month contract, working on a diverse mix of challenging, high‑profile schemes.
Role Overview
You will provide high‑quality design services across a range of projects, ensuring technical excellence, consistency, and compliance. Working within multidisciplinary teams, you will support project delivery, quality assurance, and client coordination.

- Produce and review high‑quality design documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Support delivery of complex and specialist projects.
- Maintain quality control and ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with project teams and clients to resolve technical and quality issues.
- Identify scope changes and support fee recovery where required.
- Provide support to junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement.
About You
- Experience in commercial, residential, and mixed‑use developments.
- Strong understanding of Building Services Engineering systems.
- Proficient in sustainable design, renewable energy, and low‑carbon technologies.
- Able to assess project budgets and resource requirements.
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills.
- Degree in an engineering or environmental discipline; relevant memberships beneficial.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 and design‑related regulatory requirements.
