Senior Electrical Engineer
Data Centres Projects

£50,000 - £65,000 per annum + Bonus
This is an opportunity to work on some of the most significant and technically challenging data centre projects across the UK and Europe.
A leading independent multidisciplinary consultancy is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their growing Data Centre team. This is a great opportunity to move into the data centre sector without needing previous DC experience, while working alongside established specialists and taking a senior role.

Key Responsibilities
- The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will be leading electrical design and calculations across projects
- The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for the production and review of technical reports, specifications, schedules, and design documentation
- Developing and reviewing electrical strategies and detailed designs
- The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for client engagement and attendance at project meetings
- The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will be coordinating with multidisciplinary project teams and supporting and mentoring junior engineers
Skills and Background
- The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will have 5+ years’ electrical/building services experience within a consultancy environment
- Strong electrical design experience on technically complex and/or large-scale projects
- Previous data centre experience is not essential
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a relevant discipline
- Experience working directly with clients and coordinating multidisciplinary teams
- Chartered status or working towards Chartership
- Strong knowledge of relevant electrical design software (Amtech, Dialux, etc.) and industry standards
