About the Company
Our client is looking for an experienced Senior/Principal Electrical Design Engineer to join their growing Building Services team in London.
About the Role
You will work on a diverse range of technically challenging projects across residential, commercial, industrial and healthcare sectors, taking responsibility for electrical design delivery from concept through to detailed design and construction.
Responsibilities
- Deliver electrical building services designs from concept through to detailed design.
- Lead electrical design packages across a range of projects.
- Produce and review calculations, specifications, drawings and technical reports.
- Design electrical systems including LV distribution, lighting, small power, containment, earthing and bonding, and fire alarm systems.
- Coordinate designs with mechanical, architectural, structural and other disciplines.
- Liaise with clients, contractors and other project stakeholders.
- Attend design and project meetings and provide technical input.
- Support and mentor junior engineers.
- Assist with project delivery, technical reviews and quality assurance.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant British Standards, regulations and project requirements.

Qualifications
- Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Chartered or working towards Chartered status would be advantageous.
Required Skills
- Strong experience within Building Services / MEP consultancy.
- Previous experience working at Senior or Principal Electrical Design Engineer level.
- Strong knowledge of electrical building services design.
- Experience delivering projects through different design stages.
- Confident working with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to lead technical design packages and support junior engineers.
Preferred Skills
- Chartered or working towards Chartered status would be advantageous.
Pay range and compensation package
- Location: London
- Working Pattern: Hybrid
- Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
