Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver electrical engineering design packages for large-scale data centre projects, including new builds and expansions.
- Develop and review electrical designs covering HV/LV distribution, transformers, generators, UPS systems, switchgear, power distribution and critical power infrastructure.
- Ensure designs meet applicable international standards, local regulations, client specifications and operational requirements.
- Coordinate with mechanical, structural, architectural and controls engineering teams to ensure fully integrated design solutions.
- Produce and review technical specifications, calculations, single-line diagrams, schematics, equipment schedules and design reports.
- Manage design consultants and specialist subcontractors, ensuring technical deliverables meet project requirements and deadlines.
- Provide technical support throughout procurement, construction, installation, testing and commissioning.
- Review contractor submissions, technical proposals, equipment selections and design changes, identifying and resolving technical issues.
- Contribute to design reviews, value engineering, risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support the development of junior engineers and provide technical guidance across the wider engineering team.

Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Significant experience in electrical design engineering, MUST be within hyperscale data centres.
- Strong technical knowledge of critical power systems, including HV/LV distribution, UPS, generators, transformers and switchgear.
- Experience delivering electrical designs across multiple stages of the project lifecycle, from concept and detailed design through to construction and commissioning.
- Proficiency in relevant electrical design software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of relevant international electrical standards, codes and regulations.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams and managing external design consultants.
- Ability to review complex technical documentation, identify design risks and develop practical engineering solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across international project teams.
