Senior Electrical Engineer

Engineer Birmingham | Lead Complex Projects | Progression to Principal Level

Are you a Senior Electrical Engineer ready to take ownership of major projects and play a key role in the growth of a successful engineering team?

We're working with a leading multidisciplinary consultancy seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to help deliver high-profile projects across multiple sectors.

This is an opportunity to combine technical leadership, client engagement and project management while working on schemes that have a lasting impact on the built environment.

The business has a strong reputation for technical excellence and provides a platform for ambitious engineers looking to progress into Principal and leadership positions.

The Role

You'll take responsibility for the electrical discipline on significant projects, ensuring high-quality technical delivery while managing stakeholders and supporting junior team members.

  • Leading electrical design delivery from feasibility through to completion.
  • Managing project programmes, resources and technical outputs.
  • Building relationships with clients, contractors and project teams.
  • Reviewing and approving designs, calculations and specifications.
  • Coordinating multidisciplinary project delivery.
  • Managing risk, quality and commercial aspects of projects.
  • Undertaking site visits and overseeing commissioning activities.
  • Mentoring and developing junior engineers.
  • Contributing to business growth and future project opportunities.

About You

  • Degree qualified in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
  • Strong consultancy background within the building services sector.
  • Experience leading projects and managing client relationships.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of electrical building services design.
  • Commercial awareness and project management capability.
  • Working towards or already holding CEng status.
  • Passionate about mentoring and developing others.
