⚡ Senior Electrical Engineer | Oxford | Hybrid
Ready to move beyond purely technical design and take greater ownership of projects, clients, and people?
A growing building services team in Oxford is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join them on a diverse portfolio of projects across the heritage, transport, education, commercial, healthcare, hospitality, public, and community sectors.
You'll be involved throughout the project lifecycle — from initial surveys and feasibility through to design, delivery, and handover — while developing your technical, project, and leadership responsibilities.
🔧 What you'll be responsible for
You'll have the opportunity to take ownership across areas including:
- Leading project surveys and feasibility studies
- Delivering electrical project design
- Preparing specifications and technical documentation
- Supporting on-site supervision and contract administration
- Managing electrical services installations
- Overseeing engineers and technicians
- Mentoring and developing junior team members
- Managing project workflows and key milestones
- Maintaining internal QA standards
- Supporting bids, fee proposals, and project financial management as you progress

👷 What we're looking for
We're looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer who is ready to take on more responsibility and influence.
You'll ideally have:
- A relevant engineering degree
- 3–5+ years' building services design experience
- Experience mentoring or managing junior engineers
- Experience across different sectors
- Strong electrical design software and AutoCAD experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organisation and prioritisation skills
- Good Microsoft Office knowledge
- Full driving licence and access to your own transport
Revit / design and modelling experience is desirable, but training will be provided where required.
