Senior Electrical Engineer - Data Centre Project | West London | Immediate Start

A leading M&E contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join a major data centre project in West London.

This is a key delivery role suited to an engineer who can take ownership of electrical packages from design coordination through installation, commissioning, and final handover. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mission-critical environments and experience working on large-scale data centre projects with recognised M&E contractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage electrical packages from design development through to commissioning and handover.
  • Coordinate with design consultants, BIM teams, specialist vendors, and on-site delivery teams.
  • Review technical submittals, equipment selections, drawings, RFIs, and design changes.
  • Oversee installation activities including LV/MV distribution, switchgear, UPS, generators, containment, and cabling systems.
  • Drive programme, quality, and health & safety performance across the project.
  • Support testing, commissioning, and integrated systems testing activities.
  • Work closely with project management teams to ensure successful delivery against client requirements.

  • Proven experience delivering data centre, mission-critical, or large-scale MEP projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical building services and critical power infrastructure.
  • Experience managing design coordination, technical reviews, and site delivery activities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Relevant electrical qualification and eligibility to work in the UK.
