Intermediate Electrical Engineer - Building Services

Location: Bristol

Type: Full-Time | Hybrid Working

The Opportunity

We're looking for an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join a leading Building Services consultancy delivering innovative engineering solutions across the commercial, healthcare, residential, life sciences, and data centre sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to further develop their technical expertise, work on high-profile projects, and progress towards professional accreditation within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design electrical building services systems including lighting, small power, and LV distribution.
  • Produce calculations, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Develop designs using software such as Revit, AutoCAD, DIALux, and Amtech/Trimble ProDesign.
  • Support project delivery from concept design through to construction.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and external stakeholders.
  • Attend site visits and assist with surveys, inspections, and commissioning activities.
  • Ensure designs comply with current regulations, standards, and client requirements.

About You

  • Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience working within a Building Services Consultancy or MEP consultancy environment.
  • Knowledge of electrical building services design and relevant UK standards.
  • Experience with industry-standard design software.
  • Progressing towards IEng or CEng status.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
