Senior Electrical Engineer

Location: Glasgow or London
Working Pattern: 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home

Black & Veatch is looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our growing UK team.

This is an opportunity to play a leading role in delivering complex engineering solutions across major infrastructure, energy and industrial projects. You'll act as a technical leader, work alongside multidisciplinary teams, influence engineering standards, and help solve some of the industry's most complex challenges.

Key Responsibilities

What You'll Be Doing

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you'll provide technical leadership across a range of projects and responsibilities, including:

  • Leading the development and delivery of complex electrical engineering designs and solutions
  • Acting as a trusted technical specialist and providing guidance to project teams
  • Supporting multidisciplinary project delivery from concept through to execution
  • Reviewing engineering deliverables and ensuring technical excellence, quality and compliance
  • Developing engineering standards, procedures and best practices
  • Managing technical scope, quality, budgets and schedules for assigned workstreams
  • Collaborating closely with clients, project managers and engineering teams to deliver successful outcomes
  • Supporting business development and helping identify future opportunities with existing and new clients
  • Mentoring and developing engineers across the team, helping build future technical capability
  • Contributing to solutions that address complex infrastructure and energy challenges globally

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industrial Facilities

  • Energy Transition Projects

Minimum Qualifications

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
  • Significant post-graduate engineering experience, typically 8+ years
  • Experience delivering complex electrical engineering projects
  • Strong technical problem-solving and analytical skills
  • The ability to influence and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience providing technical leadership, mentoring or project guidance
  • A commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement
