JAB Recruitment is currently looking to speak with experienced Senior Electrical Engineers for an opportunity based in Barrow-in-Furness.
This role will provide high-level electrical engineering support across operational assets, helping ensure the safe, reliable and efficient operation of electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing technical support across electrical operations, maintenance and asset integrity
- Supporting and optimising preventative and predictive maintenance strategies
- Troubleshooting equipment issues and carrying out root cause analysis
- Supporting inspection, testing and condition monitoring programmes
- Providing electrical input into modifications and capital projects, including design reviews and commissioning
- Reviewing electrical work scopes, job packs and method statements
- Managing and overseeing contractors and vendors
- Supporting turnaround, commissioning and start-up activities
- Participating in HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA and other safety/risk assessments
- Supporting Management of Change activities
- Maintaining drawings, datasheets, calculations and technical procedures

Requirements

- Strong experience within onshore and/or offshore oil & gas
- Experience of electrical equipment within production facilities
- Knowledge of power generation and distribution systems
- Maintenance, reliability and asset integrity experience
- Knowledge of offshore Safety Case and Permit to Work systems
- Familiarity with relevant API, ASME, ISO and DNV standards
- Degree-level qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- Chartered Engineer status would be advantageous
