At Tetra Tech

At Tetra Tech, you’ll work on technically diverse building services projects across sectors such as life sciences, defence, healthcare and renewable energy, contributing to innovative and coordinated design solutions within a collaborative engineering team.

Purpose & Scope of the Role

As an Electrical Building Services Engineer, you will support the delivery of engineering consultancy services across projects from early concept through to detailed design and construction stages. Working within multidisciplinary design teams, you will produce electrical designs, calculations, reports and drawings that meet client requirements and regulatory standards. You will be involved across multiple sectors and across the design lifecycle, typically aligned with RIBA stages 1–4. You will also support site surveys, construction-stage duties, and coordination with clients, architects and other engineering disciplines to ensure successful project delivery.

Your Impact in this position

You will contribute to the successful delivery of technically complex projects by applying strong electrical design expertise and sound engineering judgement. Your work will help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with best practice. By managing your own workload across multiple projects and engaging effectively with clients and project teams, you will help strengthen project outcomes while supporting sustainable and energy-efficient building systems. You will also help maintain high design quality and consistency across project deliverables.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
