Are you an experienced Electrical Building Services Engineer looking for your next step within a highly respected multidisciplinary consultancy?
This is an opportunity to join a thriving Edinburgh-based team where you'll play a key role in delivering some of Scotland's most exciting building projects while mentoring the next generation of engineers.
Working within a collaborative environment, you'll be involved in projects from initial concept through to completion, giving you genuine influence across the entire design process.

The Role
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you'll take responsibility for the delivery of electrical building services designs across a diverse portfolio of projects.
You'll act as a key point of contact for clients, architects, contractors, and wider design teams while supporting and developing junior engineers.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading electrical building services projects from concept through to completion
- Developing electrical design strategies and producing detailed design solutions
- Managing project delivery, programme, and quality standards
- Coordinating and mentoring graduate, apprentice, and assistant engineers
- Attending client and design team meetings as the electrical lead
- Producing calculations, specifications, reports, and technical documentation
- Supporting project cost planning and commercial delivery
- Undertaking site inspections, commissioning reviews, and post-contract duties
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest technical standards
What We're Looking For
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
- Experience delivering electrical building services projects within a consultancy environment
- Strong understanding of UK building regulations and industry standards
- Previous experience leading projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams
- Client-facing experience with excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in industry software including Revit, Amtech/Trimble, Dialux, and AutoCAD
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively
- Ideally working towards Chartered Engineer status or already chartered
