Senior Electrical Engineer - London

Excellent opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to step into a Senior position, and play a key part in the growth of an expanding M&E team within an International, Engineering and Design Consultancy.

£40,000 - 60,000 + Package benefits

Job Description:

The Resolute Group is working in partnership with an International, Engineering and Design Consultancy to assist with expanding their M&E Team who focus on Data Centre Projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Lead Engineer and project teams to develop electronic designs for data center construction projects, ensuring alignment with project requirements and specifications.
  • Develop detailed diagrams of electrical installations and coordinate with other disciplines to allocate initial space reservations for equipment and infrastructure.
  • Utilize 3D Revit/BIM software to model electrical installations based on diagrams and coordinated space reservations, ensuring accuracy and compatibility with other building systems.
  • Address any design challenges or modifications during the construction phase, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to project timelines.
  • Actively participate in design reviews and project meetings, providing input and feedback to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of electrical systems.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and regulations related to electrical engineering and data center construction, incorporating best practices into project designs and processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports, to support the construction and commissioning of electrical systems.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to safety, quality, and sustainability in all aspects of electrical engineering design and construction.

Experience:

  • A Bachelor and/or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Ideally 2-3 years relevant work experience within the construction industry
  • Experience with Revit / CAD software
