Certain Advantage is partnering with a key client to recruit a Senior Electrical Engineer. You’ll work collaboratively with a customer to support infrastructure and asset development at a major dockyard facility.
What will you be doing?
- Work directly with the client to gather requirements and deliver electrical engineering expertise.
- Define project scope, develop designs, and recommend upgrades or new systems, considering both client needs and existing system constraints.
- Participate in the complete project lifecycle, from initial concept and design through to delivery, commissioning, and ongoing support.
- Review and sign off technical documents before submission, ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and engineering standards.

A couple of things you should know:
- Demonstrated experience within highly regulated sectors such as nuclear, maritime, infrastructure, or oil and gas.
- Strong background in the design, modification, and scoping of electrical systems, including LV/HV networks, lighting, and power distribution.
- In-depth understanding of applicable electrical standards and safety regulations (e.g., IEC, IEEE).
During an interview, you may be asked about:
- Your experience with CAD software and tools such as ETAP, AutoCAD Electrical, or similar.
- Your knowledge of High Voltage (HV) Systems used in large-scale or industrial facilities
