Senior Electrical Engineer

Dornan Engineering Group is a leading international engineering contractor delivering high-value projects across Europe, UK & Ireland. These roles are based in London, across multiple sites. This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing site teams as a Senior Electrical Engineer.

Your day will include:

  • Interface with the client's representatives and the supply chain on site.
  • Work effectively with the project manager and project teams to review and manage project engineering from inception to handover.

As a senior member of the team, the Senior Engineer will be an exemplar ambassador for the company and its values: integrity, dependability, safety, pride, and quality.

About You

  • Ensuring that technical issues are resolved without delay.
  • Process internal procurement from equipment enquiries through requisitioning and monitoring manufacture through to delivery to site while maintaining a comprehensive audit trail.
  • Attend and record regular supply chain meetings to ensure that progress is monitored and maintained within the overall construction program.
  • Prepare risk assessments, method statements, and all aspects relating to Health and Safety on site.
  • Liaise with the design team and supply chain to ensure the correct operation of the plant on site and successful handover.
  • Monitor and record progress on site against the construction program.
  • Ensure that the Health and Safety, Environment, and quality procedures are followed, and adequate records are maintained.
  • Develop the project-specific quality plan.
  • Undertake regular meetings with the supply chain to maintain progress and to ensure resources are matched to the construction program.
  • Liaise with the project manager and prepare the project close-out report.
  • Review with the project manager the allocation of resources and to review progress.
  • Review and ensure that the site-based personnel have the correct training and valid certificates for the project.
  • All other reasonable tasks assigned to you from time to time by your manager.
