The Role
As a Senior Electrical Project Engineer, you will take responsibility for delivering bespoke electrical engineering and automation projects for a prestigious blue-chip customer base.
Working closely with customers, suppliers and internal engineering teams, you'll manage projects throughout the complete engineering lifecycle, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time and to the highest technical standards.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading electrical engineering projects from customer enquiry through to commissioning and customer acceptance.
- Managing the technical delivery of PLC, SCADA, safety control and industrial automation projects.
- Producing, reviewing and approving electrical schematics, engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Coordinating engineering activities across design, manufacturing, installation and commissioning teams.
- Acting as the primary technical contact for customers throughout project delivery.
- Supporting system design reviews, technical problem solving and engineering decision-making.
- Overseeing Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), installation and commissioning activities.
- Managing project risks, programme milestones and technical deliverables.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and project delivery.
- Travelling to customer sites across the UK when required to support installation, commissioning and final project handover.
This position offers an excellent balance of office-based project engineering and occasional UK travel, providing plenty of technical variety and customer interaction.

This opportunity would suit someone currently working as a:

- Commissioning Engineer
- Project Engineer
You will ideally have:
- HNC, HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Control Systems Engineering or a related discipline.
- Previous experience delivering electrical engineering or industrial automation projects.
- Strong project management and customer-facing experience.
- The ability to produce and review electrical engineering documentation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously.
