Senior Electrical Project Engineer

Daily Rate: Flexible based on experience
Contract Length: 6 months but potentially longer term
Location: Somerset
Working Pattern: Full Time, 8 hour day

Our client is seeking a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to lead the delivery of major electrical packages within a highly regulated environment. This role involves cradle-to-grave project management, encompassing planning, procurement, installation, commissioning, and final handover.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams to ensure successful delivery of electrical project packages.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients and key stakeholders, fostering strong working relationships.
  • Monitor project performance against budget and commercial targets, managing risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee technical reviews of designs and engineering deliverables, ensuring compliance with industry standards and quality assurance requirements.
  • Support subcontract procurement and performance reviews, while actively engaging in project close-out activities.

Essential Qualifications/Experience:

  • Proven experience in delivering electrical projects within infrastructure, energy, nuclear, or other highly regulated sectors.
  • Strong background in project coordination and client-facing leadership roles.
  • Knowledge of project management principles, including cost control, change management, and contract administration.
  • Familiarity with CDM Regulations and safety management.
  • Experience in the design, manufacture, and installation of electrical systems, including LV, HV, and MEP installations
