Position: Senior Electrician

Location: Ashford, Kent

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 (DOE)

We currently have an opportunity available for an experienced Electrician to join an electrical contractor based Kent who specialise in electrical installations and maintenance for clients across sectors including agricultural, commercial, and high-end residential, and are offering the potential to transition into a management position as the company continues to grow.

Senior Electrician Job Overview

  • Completing a mixture of electrical installation and maintenance works across the commercial, industrial and agricultural sectors
  • Travelling to sites across Kent including large commercial farms, schools, colleges, businesses and high-end residential properties
  • Working across traditional electrical installations along with renewable energy projects including EV chargers and solar PV systems
  • Assisting the Managing Director with the day-to-day operations of the business including supporting apprentice/junior electricians, helping with client communications, quoting for small works/remedial projects, and overseeing teams on site
  • Eventually progressing into a management position within the company, taking charge of full projects, ongoing maintenance contracts, and engineering support

Senior Electrician Job Requirements

  • Fully qualified Electrician, holding NVQ Level 3, AM2 & 18th Edition
  • Additional qualifications including ECS/JIB Gold Card and 2391 Inspection & Testing are desirable but not essential
  • Experienced working across a range of electrical projects within residential and commercial sites, including both installations and ongoing electrical maintenance
  • Experience supervising junior electricians and overseeing teams on site
  • Based within a commutable distance of Ashford, Kent, and holding a full UK driving licence

Senior Electrician Salary & Benefits

  • Basic salary £50,000 - £55,000, depending on experience
  • Company vehicle and fuel card provided
  • Working hours: 7:30am - 4:30pm, flexible depending on project location
  • 28 days holiday, including bank holidays
  • On call rota: 1 weekend in 4 with a £100 retainer paid on top of any additional hours worked
  • All local work
  • Structured opportunity to progress into an off-the-tools role
