A locally founded company manufacturing high-performance equipment focused on scientific discovery, critical infrastructure and airborne sensing are looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer to take technical ownership of complex electronic designs and work on robust, manufacturable products.

What you will be doing:
- FPGA and software development based on strong IP reference designs.
- Hands on configuration of high speed digital design, covering sensor interfaces and high-bandwidth data paths.
- Collaborating closely with FPGA/firmware, software and test/manufacturing teams.
- Working on high reliability embedded hardware, ensuring robustness, protection, thermal considerations, and field performance.
- Owning electronics development from requirements, architecture, schematic/PCB, bring-up, verification to production release.
- Leading key design decisions concerning partitioning, interfaces, signal integrity approach, power tree, grounding/EMC strategy.
- Driving engineering quality such as design reviews, documentation, risk analysis, validation plans and test reports.
- Supporting transition to manufacture: supplier engagement, component selection, obsolescence mitigation, cost/performance trade-offs.
- Mentoring Junior Engineers and ensuring a high standard of practical engineering.

What you will have:
- Broad experience in FPGA, embedded software and basic test GUI development.
- Experience in delivering complex PCB designs into real products.
- Excellent PCB design experience.
- Solid understanding of high-speed layout fundamentals such as return paths, impedance control, decoupling, and clocks.
- Experience designing robust power systems for sensitive electronics.
- Knowledge of industry standards and compliance such as EMC/ESD, CE/UKCA and environmental testing where applicable.
- Experience with production test development, boundary scan/JTAG strategies, or automated test rigs.
