Senior Electronics Design Engineer
📍 Normanton, West Yorkshire | 💼 Permanent, Full-time | 💰 Competitive Salary | 🏢 On-site / Flexible
TXM Recruit is currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Electronics Design Engineer to join a growing engineering team in Normanton.
This is a key technical leadership role, working across analogue electronics, power systems, SMPS, digital electronics, embedded systems, and LED technologies, while providing technical guidance and mentoring to other engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of analogue, power, and SMPS electronics.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineering teams.
- Develop and integrate control systems, HMI, and LED solutions.
- Lead troubleshooting across power conversion, EMC, and thermal management.
- Review and approve circuit designs, PCB layouts, and technical documentation.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust, compliant solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement and new technology development.

About You
- Degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
- Strong experience in analogue electronics, power electronics, and SMPS design.
- Knowledge of buck, boost, flyback, and other power conversion topologies.
- Experience with Altium, SPICE, MATLAB, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of EMC, thermal management, and safety standards.
- Experience mentoring or leading engineers.
- Hands-on approach to complex technical problem solving.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
