Senior Electronics Software Engineer

As a Senior Electronics Software Engineer, you will join our growing engineering team developing the software that powers Indra’s next-generation EV charging products. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in the architecture, design, development, integration, and verification of the electronics design across our charging platform. Working with the Embedded team, cloud, and product teams closely, you will help deliver robust, secure, and compliant designs that meet the evolving needs of customers and the rapidly changing EV charging market.

This is an exciting opportunity to influence the future direction of our products as we continue to invest in innovative charging technologies, smart energy integration, and grid services. You will contribute to the delivery of new functionality, support compliance with emerging UK and European regulations, and help bring cutting-edge features to market as part of the NGAC programme and future product developments.

  • Design, develop, verify and support electronic hardware for next-generation EV charging and smart energy products.
  • Define electronic architectures and design solutions for new and existing products.
  • Produce high-quality schematics, PCB layouts and manufacturing documentation using Altium Designer.
  • Own and maintain component libraries, design standards, and engineering processes to ensure consistency and quality across all designs.
  • Select, evaluate and qualify electronic components with consideration for performance, cost, manufacturability and lifecycle management.
  • Support product verification, validation, environmental testing, EMC testing and certification activities.
  • Investigate and resolve hardware, production and field issues using structured root cause analysis techniques.
  • Support prototype builds, design reviews, production introduction and manufacturing support activities.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable industry standards, regulations and internal processes.
  • Support planning, estimation and delivery of electronics development activities.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and best practices.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful product delivery.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
