Role Overview
Join a growing engineering team developing advanced electronic systems for demanding applications where performance, reliability, and product quality are critical.
Reporting Structure
Reporting to the Head of Systems Engineering, you'll play a key role in the design and development of analogue, digital, and mixed-signal electronics, working alongside software, firmware, and systems engineers to bring complex products from concept through to manufacture.
Job Scope
This is an opportunity to work across the full product lifecycle, taking ownership of designs whilst contributing to technically challenging projects in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design analogue, digital, and mixed-signal electronic circuits
- Develop signal conditioning, filtering, amplification, and power management solutions
- Design systems incorporating microprocessors, ADCs, DACs, and associated logic
- Produce technical specifications, simulations, and component selection activities
- Capture schematics and define PCB requirements, including stack-up and material selection
- Work with communication interfaces including PCIe, USB, Ethernet, CAN Bus, I²C, and SPI
- Investigate and resolve hardware and communication issues
- Support system integration, verification, and validation activities
- Produce test documentation, reports, and reliability assessments
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and firmware teams throughout development
- Participate in technical design reviews
- Support product introduction and manufacturing activities
- Manage component obsolescence and identify suitable alternatives
- Contribute to engineering process improvements and technical best practice

Reliability & Performance
- Conduct thermal, tolerance, and reliability analysis
- Ensure designs achieve performance, quality, manufacturability, and cost objectives
Essential Requirements
- Degree qualified in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
- Strong analogue and digital circuit design experience at component level
- Experience with schematic capture and PCB design tools
- Understanding of EMC/EMI design principles and testing
- Experience using laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analysers, and spectrum analysers
