Purpose
Muon Tech is an engineering company focused on the electronics and automotive sectors, delivering niche and advanced engineering across electronics, controls, and software.
We are looking for an experienced Electronics Engineer to work across the development of automotive and embedded electronic systems, from requirements and system architecture through hardware design, integration, testing, and production support.
The role involves working closely with customers, suppliers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams across a variety of projects, with responsibility for delivering robust technical solutions from concept through to vehicle or product implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop automotive and embedded electronic systems from concept through to validation and production.
- Develop system architectures for ECUs, VCUs, HMIs, and other vehicle electronic systems.
- Design analogue, digital, and power electronics, including automotive power supplies, sensing, and vehicle I/O.
- Select and integrate microcontrollers, processors, communication devices, displays, cameras, and other electronic components.
- Design and review schematics and PCBs, including high-speed, RF, and controlled-impedance interfaces.
- Support embedded software and Linux integration, hardware bring-up, and system debugging.
- Support vehicle integration, commissioning, testing, and fault investigation.
- Consider functional safety, cybersecurity, regulatory, manufacturing, and production requirements throughout development.
- Produce engineering specifications, design documentation, test plans, and technical reports.
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and engineering partners to resolve technical and integration issues.

Qualifications / Experience

- Degree in Electronic, Electrical, Automotive, or related Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
- Strong practical experience in electronic hardware and embedded system development.
- Experience with schematic and PCB design, preferably using Altium Designer.
- Good understanding of analogue, digital, and power electronics.
- Experience with microcontrollers, processors, and automotive communication systems.
- Strong troubleshooting, fault-finding, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret datasheets, technical standards, and system requirements.
- Experience taking products from concept through prototype and validation.
- Knowledge of embedded Linux, automotive systems, functional safety, or vehicle regulations would be advantageous.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and take technical ownership across multiple projects.
- Must own a car and be willing to travel locally.
