Ex Dynamics - Stratford-upon-Avon (Hybrid)

Would you like to join a small, agile team of engineers working on a range of exciting and varied projects? We're looking to add a Senior Electronics Engineer to our team.

About Us

Ex Dynamics offers electronics and mechanical design and consultancy services into the Industrial, Marine, and Global Hazardous Area sectors - ranging from specialist consultation through to full turnkey product design. We work with customers across the world, spanning entrepreneurs and start-ups through to multi-billion dollar global corporations.

The Role

We're looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer to take a leading role in our hardware design team, with a focus on PCB design and electronics development. You'll take technical ownership of client projects - from architecture and schematic capture through to PCB layout, prototyping, testing, and certification submissions.

Hazardous area design experience isn't required - if you don't already have it, you'll have the opportunity to develop this specialist expertise while bringing your existing strengths to bear on client projects from day one.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading the design of schematics and PCB layouts in Altium Designer, including multi-layer stackups with EMC considerations
  • Taking technical ownership of electronics design across client projects, including architecture and design decisions
  • Designing digital and power electronics circuits, including protection and sensing functions
  • Prototyping new designs, including soldering and rework
  • Testing new electronics designs, using appropriate lab equipment
  • Applying, and where needed developing, hazardous area (ATEX/IECEx, NEC/CEC) and EMC design principles
  • Working closely with firmware and mechanical engineers to deliver complete client projects
  • Investigating and resolving complex issues found during testing or validation
  • Contributing to and reviewing design documentation and certification submissions
  • Supporting client-facing technical discussions where required
  • Planning and managing your own time and priorities across projects

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
