Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical and electronic hardware from concept through to production.
  • Develop analogue, digital, microprocessor, FPGA and power electronic solutions.
  • Produce and review electrical/electronic schematics and PCB designs.
  • Carry out circuit analysis, simulation, testing and evaluation.
  • Undertake electronic analysis including derating, stress and tolerance assessments.
  • Develop and maintain specifications, processes and technical procedures supporting design and manufacture.
  • Support the definition of functional and physical design requirements and integrated system architectures.
  • Provide technical input into supplier capability assessments and source selection.
  • Support Assembly, Integration and Test activities, including troubleshooting and technical investigations.
  • Use laboratory test equipment to support development and fault finding.
  • Support JTAG design and debugging of electronic circuits.
  • Produce technical documentation including trade studies, requirements documentation, compliance evidence and test documentation.
  • Work closely with other engineering disciplines, suppliers and manufacturing teams to deliver technically robust solutions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes and ways of working.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
