Senior Embedded Software Engineer
A Senior Embedded Software Engineer is sought to join an innovative engineering team in Newark-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire, contributing to the design, development, and validation of secure embedded software for network-connected assistive listening products.
About the Role
The Senior Embedded Software Engineer, Newark-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire, will be expected to take a leading role in embedded software development, working across the full product lifecycle while collaborating with hardware, firmware, test, and compliance teams.

Responsibilities
- Designing and developing embedded software in C/C++ for real-time systems
- Developing secure network-connected products using TCP/IP, HTTP/S, and TLS
- Writing, testing, and maintaining production-quality embedded software
- Supporting cybersecurity, compliance, and secure product development
- Working with RTOS and low-level device drivers for ARM-based platforms
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver new products
- Supporting debugging, technical reviews, and continuous product improvements

Key Skills
- Strong embedded C and/or C++ development experience
- Experience with RTOS, bare-metal development, and ARM Cortex processors
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP/S, TLS, and network-connected embedded systems
- Experience with low-level interfaces including SPI, I2C, UART, and DMA
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and technical communication skills
