Embedded Hardware Engineer I

Reading, UK | Full-time

We are looking for a Senior Electronics / Embedded Hardware Engineer to design the next generation of advanced navigation and embedded electronics.

This is a hands-on hardware design role. You will be responsible for designing complex PCBs and embedded electronic systems.

A key part of the work will be developing electronics for navigation systems that need to continue operating in GPS-denied or GPS-jammed environments.

What We’re Looking For

  • Hands-on electronics design experience
  • Strong background in digital electronics and embedded hardware
  • Proven experience designing PCBs that have reached production or a qualified prototype stage
  • Strong high-speed digital design experience, including processors/SoCs, DDR memory, and high-speed serial interfaces
  • Experience designing dense, multilayer PCBs yourself using Altium Designer or an equivalent CAD/PCB package
  • Practical understanding of signal integrity and power integrity
  • Experience with sensors and mixed-signal electronics.
  • Strong hands-on hardware bring-up and debugging skills.
  • Experience working closely with embedded firmware engineers
