A global technology company is expanding its UK development centre and is looking for a Senior Embedded Linux Software Engineer to take technical ownership of major software work packages across mission-critical satellite communication products.
This is a senior hands-on role combining software architecture, C/C++ development and embedded Linux, with responsibility across the full product lifecycle. You’ll work closely with hardware, firmware and international engineering teams to develop highly reliable systems used across satellite communications and maritime safety applications.

For this Senior Embedded Linux Software Engineer role, we are looking for someone with:
- Extensive experience developing embedded Linux systems, with strong C++ and C
- Good working knowledge of Yocto and custom embedded Linux distros
- Experience with embedded networking and network products is advantageous
- Understanding of RTOS, bare-metal firmware and ARM based MCUs
- Strong experience with CI/CD, Git-based development, automated testing and HIL
