Senior Embedded Software Developer - Outside IR35
Contract, Hybrid (Gloucestershire)
£depending on experience / expectations
Leading aerospace company are seeking Senior Embedded Software Developer to support expanding project in controls and bare-metal engineering within cutting edge aerospace technologies.
Experience:
Circa 10+ years in the software development life cycle, including at least 5 years within aerospace (DO-178B/C) or another safety-critical domain.

Programming & Standards:
Proficiency in embedded C, bare-metal programming with microcontrollers, and familiarity with MISRA C standards.
Architecture & Analysis:
Knowledge of software architecture, requirement analysis, requirement flow-down, and detail design.
Testing:
Solid understanding of software testing methods.
Desirable Skills
Protocols & Hardware:
Knowledge of CAN, UART, SPI and other communication protocols.
Bare Metal Programming:
Working knowledge of ARM microcontrollers, and ability to read basic electronic schematics.

Tools & Languages:
Experience with MATLAB Simulink (model-based development), requirement/configuration management tools, and scripting in Python.
Domain Knowledge:
Understanding of control systems development, certification programmes, and compliance demonstrations - within DO178 constraints
